Before the turn of the millennium, the concept of a gourmet retail and dining store was inconceivable in the Philippines. But when Säntis Deli opened in 1987, people in the country not only got to experience shopping for quality goods from abroad but also delight in their hand-picked food in such a pleasurable atmosphere.

Now, after almost 37 years, Säntis Deli has multiplied, catering to a growing niche market of food connoisseurs and businesses, thereby garnering a wealth of knowledge and learning experiences that they have been kind enough to share with us here at Discovering Hospitality

How did Santis Deli begin?

After the successful patronage of SÄNTIS products of Euro-Swiss Food Inc. and Werdenberg International Corporation, Mr. Werner Berger decided to open a delicatessen shop in September 1987. From this day on, SÄNTIS has served millions of families with its 13 branches strategically located all over Metro Manila.

Säntis Yakal, the pioneer and first outlet, is located at the ground floor of WIC Building, 7431 Yakal Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City. The second branch, Säntis Forbes, is located in the Forbes Park subdivision within the San Antonio Plaza Arcade, Forbes Park Makati. The third branch, Säntis Wilson, is within the commercial district of San Juan Greenhills right along The Promenade Bldg., 198 Wilson Street corner, P. Guevarra Street, San Juan, 1500 Metro Manila. The fourth outlet, Säntis Molito, is in Unit 8 El Molito Commercial Complex, Madrigal Avenue, 4 Alabang–Zapote Road, Alabang, Muntinlupa, 1742 Metro Manila. The fifth outlet, Säntis Timog, is located along the busy Timog Avenue in Quezon City on the ground floor of the TOMA Building. The sixth outlet, Säntis Silang, opened in January 1998 a few minutes away from the scenic Tagaytay, Cavite, situated on a sprawling property along Aguinaldo Highway at Km. 52 Silang. The seventh outlet, Säntis Rockwell, opened in June 1999 and is located in the center of one of Makati’s most progressive commercial center, Rockwell Information Center, Amapola corner Estrella Sts., Makati City. The eighth outlet, Säntis Capitol Commons, opened in December 2000 and is located at G/F Unit SC-R1 & R2 Capitol Commons, Meralco Ave., corner Shaw Blvd., Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
