PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2024

Every year there are plenty of different expos and events that the public can attend. However, unfortunately, not all expos are created equally, some are just better than others. When it comes to a travel expo this is one you should really make time for. Here’s a quick look at what went down at the SMX Convention Center by Mall Of Asia on February 2 to 4.

The event was held in one building but split between two floors. The ground floor was all airlines both international and local, as well as hotels, resorts, travel agencies, cruise lines, and a few LGU and regional tourism representatives. There was also a stage and seating area if you wanted to listen to some of the agencies or resorts present their attraction or business. On the second floor were most of the regional government and tourism representatives. It was interesting to see and talk to the different representatives, some didn’t have to try as much as the others since they were already known and always had a decent influx of customers. However, there were other representatives who did express that they needed some help and were working hard to promote their area, especially in the Mindanao area. There are so many underrated and undiscovered places in the Philippines, and this expo was a great way to get to know and learn what else there is to see.

The first thing we need to highlight is that it doesn’t matter if you are a well-seasoned international traveler or if you are looking for a domestic family vacation, the TTE has all the best deals both for domestic and international. If you prefer a more structured way of traveling and enjoy a fully detailed itinerary there were several travel agencies offering packages for trips to places such as Boracay, Bohol, Palawan, Davao, Japan, Greece, Hong Kong and many more and decently priced too! Some had special offers that were only available if you were to purchase your ticket or hotel accommodation during the days of the expo.

If you decide to attend this travel expo specifically the next time it comes around, it’s best to go as early as you can. It gets very busy and the mass of people at some of the more known stands and booths really makes the aisles in between a little congested to walk through. You will definitely need to bring all your energy and patience to wade through the crowds and if there’s a really good deal that you want to purchase, expect to wait in line for quite a bit.
