Get To Know GUAM: America’s Hidden Gem

On Mar 27, 2025, the Guam Visitors Bureau organized an exclusive event promoting Guam as a dream vacation destination. There was music, food, and of course a quick talk on what makes Guam special.

The President and CEO of the Guam Visitors Bureau Regine Biscoe Lee welcomed the crowd of travel agents, media representatives, influencers, celebrities, and other travel organizations and associations. She gave a quick introduction about Guam and highlighted why it is the perfect destination as the Chamoru culture and hospitality will make you feel like Guam is your home away from home. 

There was also a quick talk given by a couple of celebrities and a travel blogger sharing their experiences when traveling to Guam. Some stated that they have been visiting America’s hidden gem since the 1980s since it has great food, tax-free shopping, pristine beaches, and other activities that will make you want to visit over and over again. They also emphasized how hospitable the people of Guam are and that in some ways there’s also an overlap when it comes to Filipino culture. 

The crowd was given a chance to learn a little bit more about the Chamoru culture through the Chamorro Blessing which was a once-of-a-kind experience and a very warm and spiritual welcome. There was also a showcase of some songs and dances that gave people an insight into the cultural traditions as well as the spirit and vibrancy of the people of Guam.

After the wonderful entertainment and delicious food and cocktails, there was a more detailed talk about Guam itself. From its geography, history, and culture, to sights and accommodations. It was then followed up by a question-and-answer game wherein anyone from the audience could partake and win. Lastly, the Guam Visitors Bureau ended the night by giving away two sets of two roundtrip tickets via a quick raffle.
