A Day Out: Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort, Batangas

If you ever just feel the need to get out of the city for a day then look no further than Stilts in Calatagan, Batangas. It is close enough to the metro for an enjoyable and relaxing day trip with family or friends. Whether you want to chill out and take a nap by the beach, or if you’d rather spend the day doing some fun beach activities, they have it all!

Dirt road into resort

I’m sure there are other roads and ways you can take to get there, but personally, I always choose to go through the Tagaytay route. It’s a nice place to stop by for breakfast on the way, or even for some dinner on the drive home. The drive to Calatagan is not so bad. Although the road may bend and curve, it is still an enjoyable drive and if you time it right, you shouldn’t be stuck in any traffic. The resort itself is very easy to drive to, just pull it up on Google Maps, or whatever navigation app you use and it’s very easy to follow. You’ll find yourself mostly on main roads and won’t hit any rough roads until you reach the turning into the resort.

When you drive up to Stilts you’ll find a well-guarded gate and very efficient security staff. It’s best to reserve your spot beforehand especially on weekends since they tend to get very busy. Once you clear security, the driveway to get to the front desk is very pleasant. On either side you’ll see a lot of greenery and even an ATV practice track. Once you reach the end they have a decent parking area and you’ll find that there is someone to guide you on where to park.
